Stash Pegs are a clever way to store some emergency money when you travel. The Stash Pegs’ hollow center is large enough for several rolled up bills in the denomination and nationality of your choice. The end cap features an o-ring to keep the contents dry and a raised, decorative triquetra that mates to the provided key and allows you to open the Stash Peg and get at your “stuff.”

Stash Pegs fit all the MFW extension arms but are longer than the Racing, Super Grip and Master Grip pegs so we recommend they only be used for passenger pegs or crashbar footpegs. They could reduce cornering clearance and if ground down, the end cap could become non-removable.

MFW Stash Pegs require clamp or bike specific mounts

I mounted these on 1 one inch crash bar from AltRider. Together with the folding clamps, they are nice and tight and great quality. Not too excited about the special tool or storing something in them, but love the extra length for riding with boots. For instance, if you lose the special tool, you won’t be able to gain access to the inner allen screw that holds the begs to the folding clamps.
Be sure and use Loctite on everything. The folding clamps ship with two U bolts. On a one inch bar, the shorted threaded ones will not leave any threads exposed, but the longer ones leave too many threads exposed, interfering with the plastic caps. Tried using silicone, but I’m sure they will eventually go bye bye.
I like to use a level to angle them slightly towards the sky, to eliminate the false sensed the peg is sagging. I also like them to fold backwards vs up, so they don’t fall down off-road.
BUT, I’m very happy with the set together – great quality and the only nice long pegs out there with big grooves to keep your feet on the pegs.

They give me a couple of different riding positions for longer trips. Love ‘em! (Posted on 2015-07-14)
