The D78 Modular Packing System consists of the D38 DrySpec Rigid drybag and the D20 saddlebag set. The D38 and D20 saddlebag set is constructed of RF welded 22oz. vinyl that guarantees 100% waterproof performance even when submerged.

About the D20 Saddlebags:
Unlike all other saddlebags, the D20’s interchangeable center strap is the core innovation that allows the bags to be so versatile. The bags mount directly to a bike with or
without sideracks and can attach directly to other D-Series dry bags. Use the Velcro center strap for convenience, the solid nylon strap for extremely muddy conditions, or remove the center strap all together to mount the bags directly to a D28 or D38 dry bag. Mounting the D20 saddlebags to the D28 or D38 dry bag is the ideal solution for riders who want the extra storage but are unable to mount traditional saddlebags due to high exhausts.

I bought the d68 bags a year ago in preparation for a week long trip to ride the Dakal loop in the black hills of South Dakota. I was more than pleased with the quality and performance of this system. They fit everything I need for multi day offroading. I am heading home from another 4 day trip through the Ouichita mountains and the K-trail in Arkansas and Oklahoma. I have had no issues with anything failing or even coming loose. When I strap these bags down they don't move until we reach camp. I have been in bad rain with no leaks. Even in the 15* temps a few days ago, the material folded and worked great! I would highly recommend these bags for adventure and off road use. (Posted on 2018-01-16)

ONLY put it on when on a trip. This dry spec bags are lightweight, completely waterproof. I have a Triumph Tiger 800 and the saddlebags don't come anywhere near the exhaust (Posted on 2017-12-03)

I got these a little over a month ago, took them to the states on a twelve day trip doing mostly gravel and dirt roads through Idaho and Montana. By day three, the top of the large duffel had ripped open from opening and closing the bags twice a day (one to unpack camp, one to repack camp the next morning). Three days before I was starting to head back home, the mounting loops on the duffel ripped and had to go back up the trail to retrieve one of the side bags. The large duffel also slides up onto the seat/against your back even if you have the ties as tight as you can make it, so standing up over water bars or on downhill sections and having to push the bags back to their place is a nuisance. I would not recommend for off road bags, unless your intention is to ride slow on hard pack dirt without bumps. (Posted on 2017-08-28)

Used these for a 27,000 km trip of the Panamerican highway. These things performed flawlessly. Strap down to the bike easy and completely waterproof. In our group a few of us had them, and we even attached in different configurations. We had easier access to our stuff than those who had Giant Loop or Mosko luggage. The guys using the other luggage in the end wanted ours! Recommend these highly. (Posted on 2017-03-23)

I've had my D78 bags for about a month now and they are a very nice addition to my Super Tenere. I have not had them in the rain yet but I'm confident in the design that they will no doubt be waterproof. There are several buckles and adjustable straps that have to be undone to access the contents of the bag each time but that's to be expected with this type of design. Out of all the bags I looked at these stood out to me to be the best looking and very functional. I would recommend these bags as a great option for your luggage needs. (Posted on 2016-06-02)

The quality of these bags is awesome! the only reason that I didn't give the review a full 5 stars is because the mounting straps for the large bag, don't allow for a 90 degree mounting to the 2 sidebags. In the video tutorial it shows them being mounted all parallel on a nc700. But the gas tank is under the rear seat and you would have to loosen the front straps to put gas in the tank.
After all that, I haven't had a chance to mount them, but like I said the quality is great. (Posted on 2016-04-05)

Perfect for my 2012 KLR 2 wheeled Jeep. Not a hard case fan like to travel lean and mean. (Posted on 2016-01-23)

My Dryspec 78 just arrived today. I am impressed by the construction. It is a quality grade material that will withstand the rigours of the road. The seals are well designed to keep the contents dry. It was easy to attach the D20 bags; it is helpful to watch the instruction video on Twisted Throttle first.

I can't wait to take it on the road. (Posted on 2015-11-23)
