SKU: RAM-B-309-7U

In stock

Includes U-bolt and all mounting hardware to add a single RAM ball to a 1-1/8", 1", 7/8", or 3/4" diameter bar, as well as being able to connect to your handlebar's left-side clutch clamp or right-side brake clamp.

This marine-grade rail base has a 1.0'' diameter rubber ball designed to sit at right angles to a mounting rail or handlebar. The stainless steel metal U-Bolt and nuts included will fit a circular rail or handlebar with a diameter of 3/4'' to 1.0''. The base fits the control clamps on your motorcycle with 40mm x 6mm stainless steel hardware, provided in the kit.

To mount the rail base, place the top of the base on the rail and then slide the U-bolt around the rail, into the holes in the base. Then tighten the screws onto the U-bolt until the base is clamped firmly. If you desire, you can slide the included black plastic covers over the exposed ends of the U-bolt.

U-Bolt Dimensions:1/4-20 thread X 1" ID X 2.5" long
Accommodates rails from 0.5" to 1" in diameter.

To fit the RAM-B-231U to a 1" to 1-1/8" rail, you can purchase the RAM-SU2512U large-diameter U-bolt (sold separately).

For a smaller rail, the RAP-319 adapter (sold separately) lowers the minimum rail diameter from 3/4" to 0.5".

NOTE: This stainless-steel base is completely rust-proof. The less expensive RAM-B-231Z is zinc-coated and will RUST quickly if used in outdoor motorcycle applications.
