MadStad Adjustable Windshield Mount with Crossbar for Yamaha XT1200Z Super Tenere '11-'13

Limited stock

Only 2 left

The MadStad Adjustable Windshield Mount replaces the factory windshield mount, making your windshield adjustable with up to 3" (76mm) in height and an angle range from 45°-70°. This adjustability is achieved without tools, and can be done while on the bike (be sure to pullover first). Smooths out the airflow and eliminates turbulence. Powdercoated black.

Designed into this bracket is a horizontal crossbar for mounting your GPS unit or smartphone. Simply add a handlebar mount up to our crossbar and your GPS is now much more comfortably in your line of sight. The crossbar is stationary so your GPS will not move when you make shield adjustments. Virtually any accessory you can mount to a handlebar, you can mount to our crossbar.

The factory windshield mount has two positions: upper and lower. Although our system can be mounted to the lower set of factory holes, that really isn't necessary. With the bracket in the upper set of holes and the shield mounted in its upper set of holes, the lowest position of the brackets puts the bottom of the windshield all the way down into the bottom of the fairing. In other words, the shield will already be as low as it can possibly get without getting in front of the headlights. will not interfere with the installation of the factory side wind deflectors.

  • Made from stainless steel
  • Powder coated satin-black
  • Horizontal crossbar for mounting gadgets
  • Round fluted knobs for easy adjustment even with gloves
  • Special rubber inserts hold the brackets in position
  • Tool-less T-screws for quick and easy installation and removal of your shield
  • For use with stock or aftermarket windshields

Bracket moves windshield out and improves airflow with a medium Parabellum windshield - only issues is flexing at the OE mount tabs allows the windshield and bracket to bounce and move around - the added leverage of the longer bracket allows for excessive movement - waiting to see if it breaks the OE mount arms. Got a great deal on a new 2013 tenere so I HAD to fix the wind problem. I knew of the buffeting problem when I bought this bike. I researched new wind screens and brackets and decided on this. I'm 5'9" and this allowed me to use the stock screen and end the problem. My buddy is 6' and he is just as happy. A must have for the super tenere. (Posted on 15-04-21)

The wind screen mount was exactly as advertised. High quality construction and very adjustable. I put this on a 2013 Yamaha Super Tenere and it fits perfectly. (Posted on 15-04-15)

I have a 2013 Super Tenere and was constantly getting buffeting around the top of my helmet. I considered this bracket and another brand bracket as a way to increase the height and angle of the standard windscreen. I am so glad I purchased this one. It is well made and only needs two adjustment knobs to set the position of the bracket. A friend of mine purchased another brand bracket and lost 2 of the 4 adjustment knobs while riding on the same bumpy forest service roads I was riding. I felt the larger Madstad adjustment knobs allow for increased torque to hold them to the bracket.

I am using the stock windscreen on the bracket and find it stable at any speed. When I raise the windscreen 3 inches and tilt it forward all the annoying wind buffeting to the top of my helmet was eliminated. Twisted Throttle delivered this bracket in a timely manner and I had it installed in about 15 minutes after opening the box. (Posted on 15-03-11)

This took about ten minutes to install and it works great. I now have a place to mount a GPS in my natural line of sight. (Posted on 15-01-19)

A high-quality product, easy to install, and the difference was immediate, with greatly reduced turbulence. Adjustment options for varying weather and riding conditions make this bracket a must-have. (Posted on 14-12-31)

Fits well. Original Windshield or optional touring windshield can be used. Mount for navigation is also a plus. (Posted on 14-11-13)

I used this windscreen mount with my stock windscreen for about 3 weeks with no complaints. I have since replaced the stock windscreen with a MRA X-screen and I am completely satisfied with the performance and quality of the Madstad windscreen mount. I have not had any problems with the security of the fasteners and the mount is very well thought out and constructed. The installation is a breeze. Less than a hour to install and everything fits well. It will take a little bit of experimentation to get the best performance but once you get it you will be surprised how quiet and comfortable your ride will be. I am completely satisfied with both the mount and the service I have received from Twisted Throttle. (Posted on 14-07-30)

I ride with an Arai XD-4 and with the 2013's two stock mounting points for the windshield I could not get it in a position that would stop this odd vibration/oscillation I was getting from the XD-4s visor. It was bad enough it was blurring my vision and making me nauseous. I found standing on the pegs and putting my head way above the windshield, all buffeting was gone.

I saw this and immediately ordered it. Mounting was very easy and the range of positions is outstanding.
After mounting it up I chose a position an rode. The difference was immediately noticeable. I tested various positions and found several that worked! While not completely eliminating the odd buffeting it reduced it to the point where it was no longer a problem…

This is a great alternative to a new "fixed" sized windshield. It gives you such a great range to adjust it so that it blocks all the air or allows you to put your vented helmet in the airflow for cooling… (Posted on 14-07-16)
