Kaoko Cruise Controls are purpose-built for a variety of motorcycles over 600cc. They consist of a friction nut that is integral with a replacement handlebar-end weight.
To install, just remove the right hand bar weight, replace it with Kaoko's bar weight, and firmly tighten the central retaining screw.

The main advantage of the Kaoko throttle lock is that, unlike the GoCruise I used previously, the Kaoko can keep the throttle from slipping. However, the Kaoko has 2 disadvantages. The first disadvantage is that the Kaoko is not readily engaged. From its fully disengaged position, multiple wrist twists are required to lock the throttle. As the Kaoko is twisted, the throttle setting will vary. My strategy is to prepare the Kaoko when there are no vehicles right behind, by twisting it to where it is almost engaged, and then to engage it from this setting when I want to lock the throttle. However, it's tricky to position the Kaoko at the balance point between totally disengaged yet requiring a single wrist twist to fully engage.
