Universal E-series adapter plate designed to add a Givi Monokey topcase to most existing flat rear luggage racks.
All necessary mounting hardware and installation diagram for attachment to generic tubular-steel flat rear luggage racks is included; however, installation on some topracks may require some creativity, mechanical skill, and a trip to the hardware store.
This plate cannot be used if your bike does not already have an existing flat rear luggage rack.
Typically installs quickly using simple hand tools. Mounts standard Givi Monokey topcases (ie E45 Elegant, E460 Delux, E52 Maxia), or the flat, stable surface can be used as a solid toprack when the topcase is not needed. Not for use with GIVI Monolock topcases. Made of durable molded nylon with a rugged black finish.
Also contains hardware specifically for:
BMW R1200GS Adventure, '06-
Honda VT1100C Shadow Spirit, '97-'05 (SC23) with Hondaline flat rear luggage rack (sissybar must be removed)
Triumph Tiger 900i & 955i ('99-'06)
Triumph Tiger 1050, '07- (fits models with OEM toprack plate ONLY; not for use on models without Triumph toprack plate as shown in photo on this page)
Moto Guzzi California III 1000 ('96-'97)
Moto Guzzi California EV11
Also fits many Harley-Davidson & metric cruiser motorcycles with an existing rear luggage rack (weight rating of luggage rack should be 20lbs or greater).
Givi E-series topcase racks are for use with Givi Monokey topcases ONLY and are NOT compatible with Givi Monolock topcases.
Note: The E251 has replaced the E250 universal baseplate kit.

It is very solidly made and leaves little doubt that the weak point will be whatever you mount on the rack, not the rack itself. Unlike some racks that merely attach to two underseat mounting points (a mounting method I'd not trust long-term) this has solid thick arms attaching to the shocks that will offset the weight of a top box or whatever. It also allows for some freedom in positioning the top box adapter forward or aft because it doesn't have a hoop at the seat end like other racks that force the adapter to be mounted far to the rear and hang much of the weight far to the rear.
Finally, I think it has lovely styling, a big grab-handle for the passenger, and it doesn't block the tail light or require repositioning the turn signals or anything. All-in-all a very nice bit of farkle. (Posted on 15-12-30)
