The Macna GEO 2 motorcycle jacket for men is an all-season jacket that provides exceptional comfort and protection. Macna motorcycle jackets are known for their innovative features, attention to detail, excellent fit, superior comfort, stellar protection, and safety features that stand out from the crowd.

Not only is the GEO 2 motorcycle jacket comfortable, but it is also top-shelf in the protection department. Three different abrasion-resistant fabrics and strategically placed high-tech "Superfabric" and “Powertector” CE armor provide the protection you need in all the right places. This stuff is good! A CE level 2 back protector upgrade is available to replace the standard back protector for even more protection.

The Geo 2 features a detachable collar / front panel that reveals a large 3D mesh panel for ultimate ventilation.

Macna is big on "safety through conspicuity", with "Side Eye" reflective material that is laminated for an integrated, smooth look and feel. The LED Light Ready feature is a built-in Velcro "patch" located between the shoulderblades to attach a Vision LED Light. Also available is a high-viz Vision Vest system that integrates with any of the Macna jackets.

Night Eye

For the most visibility at night, Macna offers the optional Night Eye reflective fabric, which glows intensely as light bounces off the microscopic glass beads in the fabric. These beads work as small mirrors, reflecting light directly back to the light source.

The GEO 2 motorcycle jacket is among the best jackets available for comfort in all conditions without sacrificing protection.

Before I got this jacket I bought and returned an Olympia Nomad and a Tourmaster Transition 3. The Macna is by far the most comfortable and least restrictive. The other two had better venting but were too stiff and bulky-feeling.

One thing you'll notice right away: zippers, zippers, and more zippers, all of which are left-handed (pull on the left), which takes some getting used to. With the liner in and the vent cover on there are three zippers down the front, so you really have to pay attention to what you're zipping.

My biggest annoyance is that you can't put the thermal liner in without the waterproof liner. This is true of a lot of jackets of this type. Why do manufacturers think I want get ride through a downpour and have the outer jacket be soaked? And despite claims of "breathability", the waterproof liner is still like wearing a plastic bag in any heat. It's not terribly difficult to put in, but it's not something you can pop in in a minute when the rain starts.

One of the best features is the cuffs. The zippers that hold the liner sleeves is on the outside, so the liner doesn't bunch up when you take it off. Also the adjustment strap doesn't make the cuff bunch up; with them pulled tight you get get the cuff inside gloves with relatively small gauntlets.

Overall I would recommend this jacket for three seasons. You won't be wearing it when the temps hit the high 80's but the rest of the time it's great! (Posted on 14-07-10)

No really, great fit, adaptable to the climate, comfortable, adjustable, and highly visible. Only drawback so far is it's far too easy to mismatch the zippers for the layers and a few stray threads. (Posted on 14-07-07)

My wife got me this jacket for my birthday. What a great piece of goods. I went for my first cold ride. What a pleasure to wear. It was a cool 43 degree night ride and I was comfy wearing just a T-shirt under the coat. Wow I have a great wife for getting me this awesome coat!!! I highly recommend it. (Posted on 13-09-19)
